Testing and tagging is the process of checking the safety of portable electrical appliances.

This includes the visual inspection of an appliance for any damage, followed by electrically testing it with a Portable Appliance Tester according to Worksafe Queensland.

Once tested, a tag is placed on the electrical appliance to confirm testing, the test date, who conducted the test and when the next test is due.
